Raising a family in today's world has its share of rewards as well as challenges. However, it is made easier when parents have places to turn to for help. Our local and state Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs) saw the need for one location where parents could go to freely access the advice and assistance they need. Funding was granted through the Federal Government Parent Information Resource Center (PIRC) grant in January of 1999 and The Family Center was established. We have been supported in part by that grant ever since. Our center has become a place of support, education and resources so parents never need to feel alone as they raise their children.
